SUMMIT PROGRAM OVERVIEW
SNEAK-A-PEEK
Our Summit programming is a little different...
Our flagship main stage programming offers a two-day journey through the opportunities and hurdles of the global energy transition. It is designed to educate, challenge, and inspire and is best consumed like a story - from opening to wrap-up.
This year, we're thrilled to introduce three additional content tracks, providing you with deeper dives into the most compelling topics and themes from the main stage. Furthermore, our VIP delegates will enjoy exclusive "Hour With" sessions featuring select main stage and content track speakers, offering the opportunity to pose questions directly and participate in intimate conversations.

PLEASE NOTE: We are committed to bringing together a diverse group of visionary thinkers and innovators from around the world to provide valuable perspectives on each subject. The selection of themes for the final programming is contingent on securing exceptional talent and expertise in each respective area. Consequently, themes may be subject to change.
THE MAIN STAGE
Ensuring a fair, accessible, well-organized, and equitable transition of energy is crucial as the world strives for net-zero emissions. This global shift confronts a deeply ingrained dependence on fossil fuels, compounded by significant economic and logistical hurdles hindering the widespread adoption of cleaner energy sources and greater global electrification. In this pivotal content stream, we delve into the urgent imperatives necessitating an acceleration of this transition, alongside the challenging realities impeding progress. Through insightful discussions, keynotes, and fireside chats we aim to uncover the necessary steps across various energy sectors and value chains, shedding light on the individuals, organizations, and collaborative efforts spearheading innovative pathways forward.
DAY ONE
THE BIG WHY & WHY NOT
Progress in scaling renewable technologies and energy sources continues, yet social and political challenges persist in the journey to triple renewable energy capacity globally by 2030. These include investment uncertainty and limited public awareness of the transition's intricacies, glacial project permitting, and regulatory hurdles leading to misjudged expectations, infrastructure cost inflation, lack of political clarity, and other overlooked difficulties. Thus, the journey to a cleaner energy future is as much a social, cultural, and political endeavor as it is technological and economic, demanding collective action and new ways of thinking to accelerate energy transition.
MAIN STAGE DAY ONE
KEY THEMES INCLUDE:
THE GLOBAL ELECTIONS SUPERCYCLE
2024 begins against a backdrop of rapidly accelerating technological change and economic uncertainty, as the world is plagued by a duo of dangerous crises: climate and conflict. Amidst underlying geopolitical tensions, the outbreak of active hostilities across various regions is fueling an unstable global landscape marked by divisive narratives, diminishing trust, and heightened insecurity. We explore the impact of the 2024 global elections supercycle, encompassing nations accounting for over half of the world's population and GDP, and examine the impact of increasing government mistrust, mis- and disinformation, widespread inflation, higher defense spending, polarizing social and economic issues, and other divisive trends, impacting industries, climate initiatives, and energy security.

FROM MINES TO MARKETS
It could be argued the energy transition is largely a mining and materials challenge. How do we scale resilient and diverse global clean energy and mobility supply chains against a complex and rapidly changing geopolitical landscape where the West is being increasingly pitted against China?

ENERGY SECURITY
Delve into the pressing policy, risk, and security questions arising from the current energy crisis, focusing on strategies to enhance short-term energy security while maintaining a focus on decarbonization as well as scaling new clean energy infrastructure to reduce global emissions.

REALIGNING STRATEGIES: BIG OIL'S RETURN TO CORE BUSINESS
Explore the nuance and complexity of Big Oil’s trade-off between short-term economic returns and long-term sustainability objectives amidst a backdrop of sluggish global economic growth, high inflation, environmental activism, rising environmental litigation, and the global elections super cycle.

THE GREAT INVESTMENT RACE
We will collectively examine innovative new financing models, public-private partnerships, and other strategies to help massively accelerate and scale global clean energy investments.

ORBITAL PERSPECTIVE
Drawing insights and inspiration from space exploration we will look at what it takes to create an environment of true global collaboration across physical and political divides. Emissions don’t recognize national boundaries, carbon leakage in supply chains is a huge problem. How do we think bigger and develop a truly orbital perspective?
MAIN STAGE DAY TWO
KEY THEMES INCLUDE:
BRIDGING THE POLITICAL DIVIDE IN CLIMATE ACTION
The future is not fixed, it presents a multitude of potential pathways. While this diversity fosters short-term uncertainty, it also offers grounds for optimism. Amidst global risks and significant transformative shifts, there are distinct opportunities to foster trust, optimism, and resilience within our institutions and societies. Delve into strategies for building greater trust and consensus across political divides, highlighting successful bipartisan endeavors and effective new communication strategies regarding climate and energy issues. Explore approaches to incorporating diverse perspectives into policy-making processes.

DISRUPTION, DEMOCRACY, AND THE NEW GLOBAL ORDER
Three existential threats are faced by humanity in the 21st century: social and economic turmoil, the artificial intelligence revolution, and the emergence of digital dictatorships. Explore how international collaboration can address these global challenges and prevent technology from further dividing the world into affluent elites and marginalized "data colonies."

HARNESSING DISRUPTION: TECHNOLOGY'S ROLE IN THE ENERGY TRANSITION
Delve into the transformative power of technology in redefining the energy landscape and driving positive change. Amidst disruptive forces, from generative AI to renewable energy innovations, we explore how these advancements can propel us toward a more equitable energy future. By examining case studies and emerging trends, we uncover how technology can be harnessed for good, particularly in the critical realm of energy transition.

UNCONVENTIONAL ALLIANCES FOR CLIMATE INNOVATION
We shine a spotlight on the power of unconventional alliances in driving climate innovation and fostering transformative change. From unexpected pairings to groundbreaking initiatives, we explore how these alliances are breaking down barriers, challenging conventional wisdom, and paving the way for innovative solutions to major climate and energy challenges.

DECARBONIZING THE MODERN BUILDING BLOCKS OF SOCIETY
Delve into the practicalities of cleaning up major industrial sectors, including hydrocarbons, cement, plastics, fertilizers, and steel, at a global scale. These are the really tough to decarbonize areas. We will shed a light on the most exciting breakthrough technologies and innovations with the greatest potential to scale.

DAY TWO
THE BIG HOW
The way individuals and institutions take an idea from one to one billion is the story of how the world really changes. Successful implementation is the fulcrum of progress. The challenge lies in scaling existing and breakthrough energy and climate solutions to make meaningful emissions reductions. This requires societal acceptance and trust, even across political divides, as we introduce new infrastructure and technologies. Achieving a cleaner energy future demands a blend of technological, social, economic, cultural, communication, and political efforts, along with unparalleled collaboration between a multitude of unlikely stakeholders.
