PHOTO/VIDEO POLICY
We encourage attendees to capture their experiences at Energy Disruptors: UNITE and share the excitement with their communities. However, we ask that all participants respect the following guidelines to ensure a positive and comfortable environment for everyone:
By attending Energy Disruptors: UNITE, you acknowledge and agree to comply with this photo and video policy. The policy is subject to change, and any updates will be communicated to attendees.

WHAT dOES A MEDIA pASS iNCLUDE?
Media accreditation permits access to the UNITE Summit as a general admission guest, and may also include opportunities especially for media (interview scrums etc.) as they become available.

Media accreditation does not grant access to any VIP areas, separately ticketed experiences, or parking.
WHO QUALIFIES FOR MEDIA PASSES?
Journalists and photo-journalists on staff and/or on assignment for news outlets qualify for media accreditation.
Freelancers, independent media, and content creators will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please provide as much information on your applications as possible, and note these guidelines:

The website/outlet you write for must have been active on the web for at least two years.

Your website/outlet must have at least two verifiable social media pages with more than 5,000 followers each. Pages can be on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter (X), TikTok, or Instagram.

Must have original content updated at least monthly.

Must appear on at least page two of a Google search for your site.

Internet Press is limited to two passes per web outlet.

ARE ACCREDITATIONS TRANSFERABLE?
Accreditations are only transferable to individuals within the same organization who are on assignment and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact justine@shareworthy.ca to inquire.

You may apply for a general media accreditation, and submit updated representative information up to one week before the event.
1-ON-1 INTERVIEWS WITH UNITE SPEAKERS
Once you have received your approved media accreditation confirmation, you may submit interview requests to the team listed on your confirmation letter.
WHAT ACCESS WILL I HAVE TO SHOOT dURING SPEAKER SESSIONS?
Photographers and camera operators must remain in designated media areas, maintaining 12 feet of distance from any speaker unless otherwise agreed upon.
You may be required to stop filming/shooting without notice if asked by an organizer. During panels and workshops, in most cases taking photos (without flash) and recording is permitted for the first 3-5 minutes of a panel (from behind the first row). However, not all speakers wish to be photographed/recorded. Please confirm with the on-site Media Team and respect the special instructions of the team members operating each room/event.
